How to use Tarot to calculate the fortune for the year 2024?

A couple of days ago, I learned from a friend how to use Tarot cards to calculate the fortune of the current year. The current year refers to the fortune of each year.

Originally, it was a unique perspective of major divination trends like Zi Wei Dou Shu(紫微斗數) and astrology. Surprisingly, Tarot, which is used for short-term event divination, can also do this.

Think about it, the 22 Major Arcana cards in Tarot already predict the rise and fall of human affairs. From the adventurous “Fool 0,” to meeting companions in “Lovers 6,” to the unpredictable “Wheel of Fortune 10”… finally arriving at the end, “The World 21.”

Life is truly a winding journey.

So, how do you calculate the Tarot for the current year? The method is similar to Tarot + Life Path Number (I’m not familiar with this part). Your birthday is the turning point for the fortune of the current year.

For example:

・My birthday = January 12

・My fortune for the year 2024 = January 12, 2024, to January 11, 2025

After knowing the period affected by the current year, find your Tarot card for the current year.

・My Tarot card for the year 2024 = 2024 + 1 + 12 = 2037

・2 + 0 + 3 + 7 = 12

So, your Tarot card for the year 2024 is the 12th Major Arcana card, #The Hanged Man.

Upside down, indecisive, procrastinating, it doesn’t seem like a very comfortable state >”<

But if you consider the past and the future, the previous year was Justice 11, and the next year is Death 13. After clarifying the environment and making up your mind, it’s time to take stock of resources and think about the direction.

In this stage, you will inevitably encounter constant obstacles. This state is close to the Hermit 9 (solitude and deep thought), but more intense (bound and hanging upside down), with greater sacrifices, even losing life.

(For some reason, I think of the victims tortured during Taiwan’s White Terror.)

The next card, Death, seems to scare many people, but it’s one of my favorite cards. Cleaning up the battlefield, cutting and starting over, putting oneself in a do-or-die situation is much better than procrastinating, right?

In 2024, which card will you get to? Does it resonate with your life situation?

An Extra Little Story.

It seems that ChatGPT has unlocked new features. When I asked ChatGPT to translate my article written in Chinese into English, it kindly asked me an extra question:

“It paints a cute picture of a curious cat intrigued by the Tarot cards! 😺 Would you like to know more?”

It even has emojis! After I agreed, ChatGPT began to describe the relationship between Tarot and cats:

“In a Tarot reading session, the presence of a cat could be seen as a good omen or as a sign that the reading will be particularly insightful. Some people even believe that cats can sense energies and spirits, and their reactions during a Tarot reading could provide additional layers of interpretation.

So, the next time you’re doing a Tarot reading and a cat comes to join you, consider it a special moment. The cat might just be adding its own form of mystical energy to your reading!”

It feels like something magical has been mixed into generative AI…

Magic, it must be magic!
